The spring and summer season is approaching, and we are now looking for chefs and dining room staff for The Fishery Färjkajen in Västerås.

A Fishery is someone who cultivates and creates products from the sea and other waters.

A Fishery handles all types of fish, shellfish, and edible aquatic plants.

Our goal is to serve the best dishes in our way from different waters and regions around the world.

In the summer of 2025, The Fishery opened in a newly built restaurant location in the best spot in Västerås at Färjkajen and quickly became a success! We are now strengthening our team for the spring and summer of 2026 and are looking for both chefs and dining room staff.


You find it easy to work in a team, have a good sense of order, love a clean kitchen, and enjoy meeting guests as we work in an open kitchen. Standard tasks in the restaurant.



Your main tasks as a chef with us:

  • The work should be operational

  • If the immediate supervisor is absent, fill their role for shorter periods, e.g., vacations, sick leave, etc. 

  • Ensure that we provide good service and that the product meets established quality goals 

  • Understanding of the cash register system Caspeco

  • Ensure that waste management and environmental work follow established goals 

  • Ensure that cleaning and routines follow established goals 

  • Standard tasks in the kitchen and cash register 

  • Maintain good contact with our suppliers 

  • Make orders 


Dining room staff & runners:

• Lead the daily operations in the dining room and cash register

• Be positive and solution-oriented, a positive force in the business

• Ensure that we provide good service and that the product meets established quality goals

• Ensure that the dining room, including outdoor seating, always meets established goals regarding appearance, replenishment, assortment, uniform clothing, plants, etc.

• Ensure that self-control is followed

• Ensure that waste management and environmental work follow established goals

• Ensure that cleaning, routines, etc., are followed

• Assist with beverage orders

• Assist in resolving sickness absences

• Create a safe and pleasant atmosphere for the staff according to established quality goals


We are looking for someone who

  • Is positive and solution-oriented, a positive force in the business

  • Is structured and solution-oriented with a strong focus on quality and service.

  • Previous experience in the restaurant and kitchen profession is an advantage 

  • Has good knowledge of finance and budgeting within the restaurant.

  • Is comfortable working in an open kitchen where the guest is at the center.
